Goodbye To Springville Canyon Downloadwww.sendspace.com/file/ihudoeSo I am back already to tell you about my second album 'Trouble In Springville Canyon'. This album came about purely by chance. One weekend I was bored & came up with a little tale of a boy being sexually abused by his uncle in America. Your usual, stereotypical portrayal of anyone from Texas basically. I got the idea in my head of making a concept record whilst listening back to the track so one afternoon started writing a little story. Three hours later I had wrote a short but complete story & recorded six more tracks to accompany these pieces. My inspiration for this record has come from various films & records, the main three however would be: - Lee Hazlewood's 'Trouble is a Lonesome Town' would be the main inspiration. Basically this LP follows the same formula as my record by having a story being told throughout, followed by a track which mirrors the narration that we have just been given. - The Spaghetti Western. I'm a huge fan of the Italian westerns from back in the day, the likes of the Dollars trilogy staring Clint Eastwood, Django & Once Apon A Time In America with Charles Bronson rank as some of my favourite films ever. - The Nick Cave song 'God Is In The House', the whole concept of that song has been used on the early parts of this story. All songs written by me except Bang Bang (Mad Dog Norton Shot Me Down) which is a re-write of Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) written by Sunny Bono & made famous by Cher & Nancy Sinatra. Artwork is by JamesDCody once again though the stupid CUNT can't spell properly so on the artwork Springville is called Spingville. Helen (The Swede) performs Harmonica on the track 'Blueberry Pie'. It's better than the first album [/noel gallagher]

Karl, is 'Sheriff Slipper' a reworking of another tune? It sounds awful familiar.

He doesn't drink pints SuperJ. He drinks lemondade or blue WKD.
Mahoney, all these years you've been telling me that your harmonica was in the wrong key and now the Swede lets loose and it sounds amazing. Best bit of the album by an inbred country mile.

Look it ain't in the key of Heart Of Gold so it's in the wrong key.
I think the harmonica at the end of the final track is the highlight, all by me

Played 'Trouble In Springville Canyon' to my Uncle tonight and he loved it. I sorted him out a link to the Yellow Peril Blog so he can check out the rest of the tunes.

Exclusive News: I would like to inform you all i have begun to write my debut album and hope to release it through Yellow Peril Records. As i can't play any musical instruments it is going to be a spoken word record inspired by amongst others John Cooper Clarke, Wintersox and Karl Mahoney's 'Trouble In Springville Canyon'. As you can see this is a work in progress, but i hope to have my first track finished tomorrow ...

Johnny, you could get various YPR artists to score your work.
Thanks for sharing with your family, that is the highest compliment I could ever receive.
