Weirdly I bought a new pc a few months back and my iPod has started scrobbling again through the lastfm app.
Is it an iPod Classic you have? Because if it's one of those newer touch screen ones you can not download Cloudscrob for it?

Could be the end for me and last.fm Nothing I can do will make it scrobble my ipod, given that the majority of my music listening is on my ipod in my car or on my ipod at work, I think it may be the end of the road. As a temporary solution i've been using universal scrobbler and manually scrobbling from their database, which is absolutely absurd and quite frankly very sad of me. Everyone's been complaining about the same issue on the last.fm site but they seem to care, or don't have the resources to sort the bug out even though for a lot of people it's been a problem since they brought the new site out. Absolutely gutted as i've been scrobbling since 2011 and i've been pretty diligent about making sure everything gets scrobbled. Over 50,000 scrobbles now. All down the swanny. Feel like crying TBH I'm partial to a manual scrobble every so often when I have to listen to albums on YouTube because they're not on Spotify. Having to manually scrobble everything sounds like a right arse on, though.

Yeah it's an ipod classic, 160 gig. The only Mp3 player that I can fit my enitre music collection onto (just about).
As it goes Tucker, you can download the 'scrobblr' extension for google chrome, which scrobbles web based stuff you play like youtube. Although that too isn't working correctly for me at the moment.

You're right though Mahoney, a 128gb ipod touch running cloud scobbler would do it. Spending £329 on that when you already have an ipod classic and an iphone 6 too acheive logging of your music plays is madness though Fuck last.fm and fuck apple too.

I fucking need a new ipod, as my good ole one is rotten. But that model does not exist anymore and I don't want to spend that much money on a huge classic one

Since using my phone i've always been able to scrobble from spotify but not from itunes.
95% of stuff i listen to is on spotify but it just means i have huge gap where Ty Segall, Joanna Newsom and Bonnie Prince Billy should be. None of whom have anything recent on Spotify.

Stocky, what do you usually use to scrobble?
I have the same Ipod as you and I use Lastpod to scrobble. Though saying that, I haven't scrobbled for about 2 weeks, please don't tell me it has broken?
My ipod started playing up recently, the battery kept on dying, seeing as they have now killed the Ipod classic, I was getting worried and even signed up to Spotify. But luckily I found a shop that fixed my Ipod. Though I have kept up the spotify subscription.
I use vinylscrobbler to scrobble my vinyl plays as well.

Been using the last.fm scrobbler for windows to scrobble.
Will give lastpod a crack before I abandon all hope.
If I were you i'd get that ipod synched to check, as it seems like it's been about 2 weeks for me since it's stopped working. I'm guessing the trigger for it not working has been one of itunes annoying updates that you can't seem to prevent.

Just had a look at my all time listened to artists.
Who are your top 5? Mine are tediously predictable
1. The National 2. The Shins 3. Sufjan Stevens 4. Grizzly Bear 5. Iron & Wine
If Ty Segall had more recent stuff on spotify, he would be much higher as would Joanna Newsom (currently 23rd and 39th respectively).
I've been scrobbling since early 2009. If it has been since 2002 then The Libertines would be much higher (currently 37th).

I'm not convinced The Pains of Being Pure at Heart have even listened to themselves that many times.

It's funny you say that Rod as Peggy Wang was actually on lastfm. JP, what's her username again? I need to confirm if Rod was correct.
