shouldve been the year for murray to be up there with federer and nadal. instead of it he lost track and is having difficulties keeping up with djokovic and söderling.

just hope he gets thru the group stage. he didn't last year. it's his biggest pressure non major of the year. with it being at home (well nearly).

I hope Del Potro has a better season next year can't be much worse can it. whole fucking year out. and people thought rafa's knees were an issue. if nadal wins in australia he does the grand slam for the first time since the late 60's on the men's side. think laver was the last (correct me if i'm wrong).

laver did it in 1969. a calendar slam. the last one and only one to do it in the open era. though he did it once more prior to that. perhaps it was two grand slams for him in the open era, yeah I think so.

murray-nadal was some match earlier. terrific rallies. nadal won in 3 sets. both tie breaks he won his sets on. nadal's knees haven't half recovered this year.

It was an incredible match. Nadal had the control of the first set but since the half of the second Murray was much better. I think he lost the game more than anything, failed some silly points with important timing. Still, great great game, enjoyed it like a child, both will have a long career full of brilliant days like this one.

nice win for federer. 3 set finals are not as good as 5 set finals though.
