djokovic took the year ends champs then. davis cup this week. can GB do it? that would be some turnaround after all those yrs of being out of world group. the equivalent of leicester winning the premier league title or something.

not been this unenthused for a slam in god knows how long. can't see anything other than a djok procession in the men's, and whilst the WTA does look like there's the potential for some surprises i just can't get excited about the tennis.
the sport desperately needs some youngsters to start making serious waves soon.

Match fixing is back in the headlines again now.
Come on Emilie and Milos (both will bow out in 2nd or 3rd round)

milos has shown a bit of form at the start of the year tbh, would like to see him do well.
apparently some of the names implicated in the match fixing are:
janko tipsarevic philipp kohlscreiber fabio fognini andreas seppi marin cilic
victoria azarenka agnieszka radwanska francesca schiavone flavia penetta
many more than that just picking some of the bigger names. basically all italian players were on the list.

not *that* surprising IMO, rafa's much vaunted return to form towards the end of last season was hugely flattered by those wins against murray and stan (neither of whom wanted to be there, especially murray who was basically phoning it in) at the O2.
