I'm looking recommendations for Zombie films. I've never really been one for guts and gore but done with tongue placed firmly in cheek and i can live with it.
So fire away folks.

Good zombie flicks with varying degrees of scaryness.
28 Days Later (quality) Dawn of the Dead (Original or remake) Shaun of the Dead(funny) [rec] (scary) Zombieland(funny) Return of the Living Dead(funnyish)
or check out the tv series Walking Dead

Well you must check out George Romero's catalogue, innit? And also the Evil Dead franchise.

Yeah, the first three Romero zombie flicks 'Night Of The Living Dead', 'Dawn of the dead' & 'Day Of The Dead are essential. The rest after that whilst are not as awful as people will lead you to believe are miles behind the original three. I've seen an awful lot of zombie flicks, most tbh are pretty bad though thats kind of what draws me to them. Just looking through my RYM, seems I've watched about 25 in the past couple of years, only the original 3 Romero's, REC & 28 days later I've given a rating high enough to say I thought they were good. Not properly a zombie flick but I'd recommend checking out 'The last man on earth' with vincent price from '64. It was the first film to be based on the I Am Legend novel that Will Smith did a few years back & also was released as the Omega man with Charlton Heston in the early 70's. Whilst Romero created what we vision as the modern zombie he was hugely influenced by the last man on earth & they have a real similar atmosphere. Both are legally available to watch on youtube for free due to nobody holding the copyright anymore. Not zombie films but if you haven't seen them the first two Evil Dead films are fucking iconic, the 1st being more horror, the 2nd more comedy. Shaun of the dead & Dead snow are two good funny zombie films. edit*, yeh just what Ana said should really read threads before posting
