finally got round to listening to it. erm wtf. it's a complete mess. not in a good way. loads of ideas but almost all half-arsed and incoherent.sounds like someone too comfortable trying to be edgy but being completely devoid of inspiration  after the ideas and energy of arular and the fully-formed tunes of kala (one of my favourite albums of the 00's), this is, frankly, shit and boring.  |

completely devoid of inspiration Wouldn't agree with that, Bazpips. Born Free, Tell Me Why, and XXXO i'd count as being amongst her very best. Born Free in particular is a cracker The rest is very weak though |

Yar, pretty much There were a few moments on there though I thought, I haven't listened to it in a while but I remember XXXO and Space being tunes, and It Takes A Muscle eventually seeped into me brain after hearing it 1000+5 fookin times on the radio |

she couldn't even keep the rhythm. of course there was lots to see on the stage and the lights were awesome and it was sort of cool, but on paper planes she was constantly one and a half beat behind the actual beat and the singing bits were so out of tune it hurt my ears

I know very little about MIA other than 'Paper Planes' is a TUNE, she don't like gingers and she's a little bit fit. Anyway downlooted 'Kala' earlier, and i'm one track in '$20' has just blown me away.

have you got it on shuffle johnny? $20 is track 7 on the album. anyway, kala was my favourite album of 2007. it's stupendous almost all the way through. i turtleed a bunch of tracks from her years ago and you reet ripped into it glad to see you might be warming to her  don't bother with the new album and go straight to the mixtape though |
