all the hostility just stems from the fact that you (we) are all relics of a world gone by. man, the way people consume music has changed totally during the last 10 years and during the next 5 it's still gonna change. there is never gonna be a big rock band ever again, hell, i'd be surprised if we're gonna have more than 5 major popstars in 2020. already we have 'artists' whose output is totally interchangeable, thanks to autotune and all that gadgetry everyone can sound like everyone.
world isn't crying out for a rock band. sorry guys.
