Aston Villa 1 Newcastle Utd 2
Played really well yesterday, Mbiwa and Sissoko actually looking like decent players now. HBA was quality again and Remy looks a handful, if we can keep the first 11 fit we should finish top half I reckon, any injuries though and it's gonna be a struggle

Workington 1 - 1 Stockport County - Conference North
Thoroughly depressing. First away day since our relegation to the conference north, the atmosphere was weird, it felt like I was watching a pre-season friendly. Workington's ground was a real shit hole too, crumbling terraces not touched since the 70s, freezing cold wind blowing in off the Irish sea, crackling pa system which hardly worked, no segregation of home and away fans... can't wait to get out of this tin pot league. Thought we'd win a few matches in this division but we've started awful at the moment and are 19th in the table, how much lower can we go?

Valencia 0 - 3 Swansea
We've had a terrible season so far, yesterday was probably the worst day though. With ten players and losing since early on, Swansea did what they wanted to.

FC Utd 1-3 Whitby
Dominated and created a host of chances, but couldn't finish them. They had 4 shots and scored from 3! Annoying but fair play to their deadliness.

Linfield 5 - 0 Dergview (5th Round Irish Cup)
Was expecting a wider margin the scoreline considering we're 3 division above them but we never really got out of 1st gear to be honest. Ended up in the viewing lounge in the second half watching Soccer Saturday and have a drink with mates rather than watching the game. Only thing of note to mention was Ivan Sproule made his home debut for us and it's clear to see he's to good for this league but i'm delighted to have him.

FC United Board member Kate Ramsey opened the co-owners’ meeting on Saturday 8 February 2014 at a packed Bury Social Club. The turnout was doubly impressive given that the Stafford home game had been being postponed because of the weather.
Board member Adam Brown gave an update on the ground and said how fantastic it was that digging was taking place on site and things were visibly taking shape. It was brilliant to see, he said, and weather permitting we would remain on track. There was now a cabin on site to give out information to locals and members as the work progresses.
Adam updated the meeting on the build progress, reporting that we were on schedule although there were some issues with rain and drainage which were being addressed. Piling is completed and foundations work is underway.
He also gave an update on the costs of the project which currently stand at £5.72m. We have managed to reduce our borrowing requirements by raising more funds from grants, including the latest £300k from DCLG. Notwithstanding the latest funding successes, Adam stressed that it was still extremely important to keep raising funds in order to improve areas like the pitch drainage, car parking and stadium surfacing work.
The best and most immediate thing that members could do to help with the finances, Adam said, was to Take Out or Increase a Standing Order to the FC United Development Fund.
Kate Ramsey then introduced a discussion about the process for the naming of the new ground. A list of potential names was circulated which had been suggested in advance of the meeting by members.
The meeting voted on the list of suggested names and agreed a shortlist of seven to be voted on by members using the AV voting system. Full details would be made available to members shortly.
Just before the meeting closed, members were asked to vote on whether the club should accept or decline an offer from the league to take up a fundraising opportunity from BetBright, with whom the league have just partnered. The meeting unanimously voted to decline the offer.
At the end of the meeting members donated over £200 as they left the room. Many also completed standing order forms for the Development Fund.

spurs 1 - 3 benfica
went straight from work yesterday and didnt get back to norwich until 2am this morning so been properly knackered at work all day. it wasnt worth it, we are a team who has a manager way out of his depth and who have already given up on this season.

Ottawa Fury FC 0-1 Rangers Fc
Rangers came and visited my local club in Canada tonight. Pretty special night, with loads of Rangers supporters coming in from all over north america to see our brand new stadium, but at the end of the day it was still a 2nd division north american team against a 2nd division scottish club. The quality gap between this match and the City-Kansas City match we watched in the bar afterwards (at my vocal insistence) was rather noticeable. That said...Rangers came to my town and that was pretty fucking awesome. 8/10

Valencia 3 - 0 Málaga Valencia 3 - 1 Español Valencia 3 - 0 Córdoba
I wasn't so excited with a team since... that or more. We've grouped a bunch of young players which gazillions of talent and appetite for pressing and winning, commanded by a coach that seems clever, sensible and making constant gestures to the fans. I find as important the 13 goals we've made as just conceding two, one of them a penalty. The teams are made from the back onwards, and Otamendi and Javi Fuego are essential for this.
André Gomes is unreal, I don't like highlighting one player because they're all absolutely lovely but keep track on him. Rui Costa, Zidane, Kaká, there's something of those. Also half of the goals have been scored by local chaps, Gayá is our third classy left back in a row (Jordi Alba, Bernat) and Alcácer is the reincarnation of Inzaghi, the goal is in his blood.
