Excellent news. :-* I've been neglecting Curb Your Enthusiasm for too long. Watched seasons 1-4 religiously and then sort of tapered off. Downloaded every episode about a month back, going to do a massive catch-up soon.

It's gonna be filmed and set in New York rather than LA too.

Interesting because a lot of the humour from Curb is because Larry is almost like a fish out of water at times in LA, his attitude, mannerisms etc are very New York and a lot of his clashes with people can be traced back to the fact that people from LA are generally quite different.

He's gonna be more at home, cantekerous rich old Jewish men like Larry are a lot more common in New York so it'll be interesting to see how this impacts on the show.

Probably not worth its own thread as it appears only 2 other people on here watch it, but just wanna chime in on the Limmy's Show love.

Watched the first 4 episodes of series two yesterday, and haven't laughed at a british comedy so much in bloody years. So i watched them all again :-*

Its crammed with brilliant ideas, and its so adventurous and so very different from the current mainstream shit. Fuck's sake, already totally in love with it

Limmy is also an amazing comedic actor, and he cracks me up just stood there smiling. See 'Open Sign Guy' :-X

Ordered the series one DVD, so can't wait to devour that too, and the last two episodes

Dare i say it? Fuck it. GENIUS. Ruddy bloody genius.

KILL JESTER

The top six here, Baz - btjunkie.org/search?q=Limmy%27s+Show

I reckon you'll love it. It took me a while (well, a few minutes really) to get into it, as its just a barrage of constant silly madness :-X but soon i was cracking up. The pay-offs to the sketches are just so leftfield and nutty that sometimes i can't quite believe how he came up with it

Here's a pretty "straightforward" sketch, which people seem to really love, if you fancy a quick taster

It tends to work better in the context of a sprawling show of many sketches, where he calls back to previous sketches in the show, but that one is ace in a standalone stylee >:(

Glad you're enjoying Limmy's Show, Dan. Maybe they'll allow him nationwide coverage for a third series. Or they'll cancel the show and we'll never hear from him again. :o

Dee Dee is such an immense character, his sketches always leave me actual pain from laughing. :D Shit like Little Britain ought to be ashamed when they see how great a sketch show can actually be.

Vehrry true dat. Though apparently Matt Lucas is a big fan. I wonder what Limmy makes of that :-X

You seen his web stuff from years back, Andy? I spent a couple hours last night going through it all. There be lots of it. It's not great, but there's some lovely funny ideas in there. His GTA "killing a prozzie" video had me ROLFING. Can't believe some people took it seriously and got upset :-X

Limmy's webcasts (recent) - www.youtube.com/user/GuyWoodward#g/u

His World Of Glasgow podcasts are meant to be really good, too. There's 86 of em :-X They're short, though. On yer iTunes

He's even on LastFM :-X - www.last.fm/user/BrianLimond

My new hero, tbh

I have seen a few random clips on youtube that have cracked me up but my PC speakers are still fucked at the moment so I'll have to wait till I see the rest. There's a clip on there of a crowd of guys walking about Glasgow city centre at night with their tops off screaming "SHE'S TURNED THE WAINS AGAINST US!" for about 15 minutes. I would have joined in if I'd met them tbh.

His Last.fm is fucking atrocious though. :D

Haha yeah, i thought his cheesy 80's electronic pop-music love in the series was just another part of his onscreen character, but it appears not. He's certainly unique :-X

I didn't know what he said in that wains sketch, til i read it online :-X I've managed to understand most of his stuff though, thankfully

he's a fucking stunning comedic actor, isn't he? reminds me of big train quite a lot. not quite as surreal but the performances and the set ups are very similar. fantastic.

:-X glad you're liking it Baz. I couldn't stop giggling at that smile when i was at work the next morning. Couldn't even explain it to people :-X

Loaded a few of his webcasts onto the 'ol iPod, and been catching 5 minutes here n there.

Surprisingly watchable, and very funny. Saw one earlier when he was going on about slashing Dennis Norden's face. I was erupting with laffs

"How is he alive and Beadle is'nee? HOW?"

Its the thought of hating someone someone so old, harmless, and inoffensive, and wanting to hurt them so badly :-X

"I'd go past the reporters outside the court and just spit at em. SPITT-TO! Ave that"

Here, it's towards the end of this one i think (though its all worth a watch)

I love the way he takes no shit off people on these webcasts too, and rips into spelling mistakes etc :-X

Boo, they've both already been on this series and Millican is a douchebag. I do like this show though, really relaxed end of the week fare, and it's interesting you say that about the time as I always get the impression that 30 minutes doesn't do it justice.
