aki kaurismäki is a fairly great director, even though his movies demand a bit of patience, there's not too much dialogue and they can be very eeeh.. pedantic?

mies vailla menneisyyttä and laitakaupungin valot are two of his recent films and both are pretty great.

Thanks. I'll give one of those a go sometime in the near future. I love IMDB but their recommendations are fucking ridiculous

the film follows a man who arrives in Helsinki and gets beaten up so severely he develops amnesia. Unable to remember his name or anything from his past life, he cannot get a job or an apartment, so he starts living on the outskirts of the city and slowly starts putting his life back on track

Goodfellas is slightly overrated for me. Without a doubt a very good film but I think Scorsese has much better films. Also, I don't like Ray Liotta.
Even if I did love Goodfellas enough to make my top 100 I wouldn't list it because Andy loves it so much yet he has never seen the Godfather
