Hailing from Glasgow and heavily influenced by the blues greats such as Muddy Waters, Mississippi Fred Macdowel and Howlin' Wolf Soho Dandy combine these raw roots with modern twists to tell stories of day to day mundane routine and lifes guilty little pleasures that keep us going driving down the long winding road to hell. a list of influences would be endless spanning from The Pogues to Cave in back through Tears for Fears and up to u2. Theres currently 4 origonal songs and a cover of Johnny Cash's Folsom recorded by Soho Dandy and Mark McMillan on the myspace page www.myspace.com/sohodandy and a regularly updated facebook page www.facebook.com/sohodandy and we hope to get back in the studio just after new year. Our first gig was a solo acoustic set at the Wee Red Bar in Edinburgh but with alot of work in the pipeline,we hope 2011 will be an eventful year for us and will hopefully build a small army of people ready for some filthy blues and booze.
