Cigarettes are the embodiment of everything evil about capitalism, I think you'll find. And just because Lemarkx likes Christina Aguilera hardly allows you to call his political beliefs into question ffs.  Andy, what would you think if you see Neil Young play a show sponsorized by Coca-Cola with 20 strip-dancers dancing half naked on stage while he plays Hey Hey My My? Or if next Paul McCarney's video features four models fighting naked in a pool of mud while he auto-tune sings in the background? I tell you, you'd spit to the telly! |

But to support an "artist" who is entirely built by the system as a money machine...meh, doesn't sound right to me. If we stop and think that their plastic look is studied to attract people, their songs are composed by faceless authors whose only interest is to pull out a catchy refrain and reach the top of the charts, their videos are built to arouse the spectators and be broadcast on MTV every 15 minutes...well, it should become less enjoyable. At least, I don't find this music enjoyable. |
