Any idea what kind of direction they are going in for the new LP barny? I've heard nothing. Hopefully they continue pretending to be a shoegaze band.

Same here, I really didn't like the second Mystic Valley Band album at all, but Shell Games is a good lead off single - it sounds like he's ditched the dungarees and straw hat for one. Incidentally the lyrics for the first verse reference his previous album art (The fireworks - Letting Off The Happiness, the vanity - Fevers & Mirrors, the circuit board - Digital Ash, the city streets - I'm Wide Awake and the shooting star and swaying palm tree - Cassadaga) which is officially the first interesting thing I've ever learnt from the youtube comments section yeah man i dig Shell Games, not as strong as Four WInds but like u said a good lead off single... actually quite reminds of Digital Ash production-wise which probably is my favourite Bright Eyes Album The People’s Key: 1 Firewall 2 Shell Games 3 Jejune Stars 4 Approximate Sunlight 5 Haile Selassie 6 A Machine Spiritual (In The People’s Key) 7 Triple Spiral 8 Beginner’s Mind 9 Ladder Song 10 One For You, One For Me should leak soon, its out on Feb 15th

just read that a new paris album is coming out too.
New Paris Album in Production Now!
Paris' latest album is in production now! Currently untitled, it's his leanest and most aggressive project in years, and his first offering since 2008's critically- acclaimed Acid Reflex. It promises to deliver hard truth over raw, rough music as never before.
Coming Q1, 2011.

Aside from the various albums coming out of the remnants of oahzeez, I want the new Weller, Streets, Arctics, Strokes & Radiohead albums.
Oh, and Elbow. No one's mentioned their new one yet, right? If it's half as good as the seldom seen kid, it'll be bigtime.

Cos i've mostly been listening to her this week, i'd have to say PJ Harvey's new 'un, Let England Shake. What a title. Btw, i feel a right thicko this week. I always assumed she was american, yet i was reading her Wikipedia page, and she's from bloody Dorset I've always thought she was american for some reason. Blew my mind a bit I don't think i've seen her interviewed, just perform, so i guess that's why. Still, FFS

It was very Probably the cover from Stories From The City that duped you, I used to think the same at the time. She's actually got a fairly noticeable West Country lilt in her voice when she speaks though

Aphex Twin, that's going to be very interesting.
Hope The Avalanches, Khonnor and Burial release new albums this year.

Crystal Stilts is another release I'm looking forward to, but I was quite deceived after knowing both Love is a Wave and Sugarbaby aren't on the record

Does anybody care? We've waited too long now, your hype has completely died. I'll stick with the Lighthouse EP, when they had a bit of bottle about them.

We might be a year and a bit behind schedule but it'll be Balldog and Benjani getting the signed first pressing now. Any more of this pish chat and I'll wrap my Telecaster round Clint's neck at our first TCOTU gig. P.S One Eye on Holy Corner >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Lighthouse Sessions
