What is it an exhibition? Nice to see he's getting some recognition. Last I heard he was a cab driver as he couldn't get any work & only ever got one off payments for all his Oasis designs so gets no future income from any of his artwork.

i love how on that site they've literally copied the text about brian cannon straight from wikipedia, including the "[4], [5], [6]" footnotes

I dunno exactly Karl, but on the flyer for his afterparty it mentions a talk, as it's only 90mins long I'd have thought maybe a bit of both with a Q&A?

Tbh Brian cannon gets recognition because he worked with oasis, but his body of work IMO isn't that great....def maybe's good. Wtsmg is poor, be here now's an abomination (lots in there but nothing happening)....and the singles are very hit and miss. Some might say being probably the crappest. The majority are only iconic because it's oasis at there peak. Dgss is far superior to any of the oasis sleeves.

I bought the Verve's ''She's a Superstar'' 12'' from him once on E-bay and his advert was all about ''experienced photographer looking for bands to work with''. So naturally I messaged him to ask how much his delivery costs were. They were quite reasonable tbh..

I think his early Verve artwork was much better than the Oasis one though whatever you make of the morning glory artwork that photo is possibly the most iconic picture of British culture in the 1990's, or at least one of them.

Of course, but only because it was a massive selling record, it's actually a pretty dull picture in itself though.

I went to the british music exp coz that was free on a tourist card. Aside from the special event, it's a museum of rock, quite fun but you wont learn much, it's mainly for people that dont know much about bands. You can try instrument as well, went to try gibsons, but they lied they only had epiphones.
