this cracked me right up. Some radio bloke rips into Ryan Adams and his music for erm.... 20 minutes wfmu.org/playlists/BD scroll to bottom and it's about 6 up and dated May 4, 2009: Ryan Adams Unfair Record Review (originally aired December 2, 2003)Or you can get it on iTunes. Just search for Best Show Gems. Didn't really agree with much of it, but made me cackle

It's supposed to be total bollocks isn't it? Like Talksport for music or something. Play 20 seconds of a song then laugh when the vocals start and call it shit. It's a pretty good idea tbh, we could even turn it into a forum podcast Episode 1: The Hehe tires of The Wall after 2 minutes and embarks on an extended fisting metaphor Episode 2: Andy stops Black Rebel Motorcycle's debut after 14 seconds to explain how Wings got there first Episode 3 (Film special) : TheMex forgets to stop Fargo at all and realises his mistake (btw on a Ryan Adams-related note does anyone have a good version of Goodbye Honey from the Heartbreaker bonus disk they wouldn't mind donating?)

I'll do that popular National album.
I turned it off after 30 seconds. It sounded like he was having a period.

Yeah, i think it's meant jokey, but he had me roaring at points. It's the nitpicking that really made me laugh, bits like "Yeah, i've heard Exile On Main St too!"
The bit right at the start when he pauses and rewinds Adams' drunk-sounding vocal had me in fits
It's essentially the soundtrack to Andy's nightmares
There's one for The Beach Boys too, but we get enough of that when Johnny's been on the razzle
