What a talent, innee. 3 solid solo records now. Absolutely in love with his newie, Hotel Shampoo. One fine pop song after the next. So short n sweet Love the Neon Neon record too, and his various other cameos with Sparklehouse, Gorillaz, Simian Mobile Disco etc. And that's before SFA are even mentioned. So much quality Has he ever released a duff record? Anyway, i try not to use this word too often, but i reckon the fella be a legend.

Would be great Dan, thanks in advance. I can turtle the Am Byth if you like one but it's quite an easy one to find.

Has he ever released a duff record? Well you could argue that Tony Da Gatorra vs. Gruff Rhys from last year was probably that. I liked it for what it was, a self indulgent mess with a couple of good tunes but it's not something I'll revisit very often. Had a handful of listens to Hotel Shampoo. Liking it though it's a bit sunshine-pop verging on twee at times which isn't my bag but obviously when Gruff does it I don't mind so much. SFA 'will never split up' & will start recording again when they can all commit fully.

I would much rather listen to music Gruff has made than Paul McCartney for the rest of my life though.

Each to their own innit, even if it is a bit of an odd choice.

I love the Beatles. I rate the Live and Let Die soundtrack. But, yeah, 100 per cent agree, Gruff > McCartney
