I'm afraid I am Andy, for my sins
btw Campbell is rumoured to be on 40k, less than half of what Portsmouth were paying him and he looked good for Arsenal last year so I'm ok with that if he stops us getting dicked by Man United et al. Gosling is thought to be on a quite hefty 25k p/w (8 times Danny Guthrie's wage), but with no fee paid - and with him being English thats his resale value quadrupled, still good business imo.

Well he's deceptively good at finding the net for a completely shit player. I'd say it's 50/50 wether he starts though And 35m for Mascherano? Have a word, you could get Michael Brown for 700k

As far as I know he is looking forward to coming back here; he is back on Monday," said Hodgson. "He is enjoying a holiday – a well-deserved break as he has not had one for three years.
When a manager says things like 'as a far as i know' it's always a little tricky though. mascherano is, like andy said, no huge loss. it's way easier to find a replacement for a player in that position than it is to find a replacement for torres

I am, we still have some great players (it seems all of our top players are staying) but what El Hamdaoui did is just out of order, chances are high he will still sign in the next few days though

that mascherano-alonso hub in midfield was great for a period of time. even talksport weren't saying anything about torres today. hopefully the transfer rumours have blown over.

sad mash is going. class act....
having said that the last trophies we won we had either sissoko (a lot cheaper but not in the same league although still class) or hamann (far better and cheaper) playing so hopefully he can be replaced. he is arguably the best in the world at his position now though so hopefully we'll play hardball (like rafa did with real over alonso) and get a good price for him. a deal valued at over 30m would be good, maybe 25m and muntari?
20m would be a sick joke, we bought him for 18.5!

Supposedly we've agreed a fee with Villa for Luke Young, £2.5m apparently.

Hendrie deal seems dead in the water... In steps Paul Hartley though! not completely done but looking very positive. Either Hendrie or Hartley will almost certainly be playing for the Dons next season and I'm very excited at that prospect.
Also happy with the other signings we've made. Every player coming in seems to be better than those that have left (wouldn't be hard) so thats about all you can hope for.
Role on August 14th.

Heskey to Sunderland ffs.
Imagine him and Bramble within a week of each other joining your club at this point.
