When a manager says things like 'as a far as i know' it's always a little tricky though. mascherano is, like andy said, no huge loss. it's way easier to find a replacement for a player in that position than it is to find a replacement for torres

having said that the last trophies we won we had either sissoko (a lot cheaper but not in the same league although still class) or hamann (far better and cheaper) playing so hopefully he can be replaced. he is arguably the best in the world at his position now though so hopefully we'll play hardball (like rafa did with real over alonso) and get a good price for him. a deal valued at over 30m would be good, maybe 25m and muntari?

Hendrie deal seems dead in the water... In steps Paul Hartley though! not completely done but looking very positive. Either Hendrie or Hartley will almost certainly be playing for the Dons next season and I'm very excited at that prospect.

Also happy with the other signings we've made. Every player coming in seems to be better than those that have left (wouldn't be hard) so thats about all you can hope for.
