i don't exactly love loads of her tunes or anything but i thought she sang brilliantly, did a pretty much perfect set list and put on what looked like a really good show. didn't get bored watching any of it.

The rest of the set may have been amazing, but I turned on for a minute or so and saw her do the quite ghastly thing of segueing a cover of Prince's 'The Beautiful Ones' (YAY!) into a version of Sex on Fire (NOOOOOOOO!) I refused to watch anymore

Just got in. Fucked. Weird glastonbury usually they start off great and by the end I've had enough. Was the complete opposite this time. wed/thursday was pretty much hell with the weather and whatnot, the 3 days with the bands were great though.
getting into the site took me 3 fucking hours wednesday, never had to queue for long before. then dragging the beers in from my mates car was hell. that day was shit until we got smashed and went silent disco. thursday i hated, just seems the whole of glasto is there early now so there was thousands of people with fuck all to do. went up to the park for baggy mondays but was packed. Gave up and went wine bar. First 2 nights were not a success but the last 3 were great and even though i probably saw less bands than I've ever seen at Glasto about 5 of them were really great which is unusual for festivals.
saw
cacoon - acoustic shit, boring stonefield - bunch of aussy sisters that sounded like led zep, enjoyed mona - average/dull wu-tang - fucking brilliant. enjoyed it tons more than the forum gig a few weeks back darwin deez - was entertaining, he band did dance routines after most songs, no idea if they always do it or not but was fun. good set too i am kloot - fucking loved it, mind you I think i was the only person who gave a shit they was on morrissey - was top tbh. setlist was a bit off, too much smiths and later period solo, should of done more of his classic solo material. Crowd was pretty rowdy where i was. all the dickhead u2 fans tried to push in just at the end of mozza so there was a crush for a minute but we started a huge 'you can stick your fucking bono up your arse' chant and knocked all the dicks out the way. primal scream - fucking amazing, highlight of the weekend. 3rd time I've seen them do this screamadelica tour and it just feels like I could see it another ten times and never get bored of it. Was chucking it down but nobody cares, really good crowd for that. later that night/morning I stumbled across a bar that had a wrestling ring in so watched to blokes in skimpy trunks powerslam each other for a while. Great times
next day felt fucked so didn't actually see much spent most the day just relaxing. Thought about going down for pulp but couldn't be arsed with the crowds at all
Yuck - didn't enjoy them very much this time. didn't help i was so knackered and their layed back style didn't really go down well with my vibes elbow - very disappointing. did hardly any old stuff, seems all they play now are 8 minute anthems that outstay their welcome. Guy wouldn't fucking shut up either. 'put one hand in the air' fuck off was gonna go chemical brothers but wasn't in the mood so hung around for Coldplay who I must say were fucking good. Helps that they've been away for a bit so not heard any of their songs for ages but they got all the hits out and Chris Martin didn't talk very much so was actually really good. Glad I saw them, would of never of payed to see them otherwise
sunday the sun was out so sat at the back of the pyramid stage with the remains of our beers and watched don mclean. wasn't bad, never heard any of his records before. Laura Marling which was nice, would of been boring had i been down the front tho then some of Paul Simon which was fucking dull as hell. Everybody looked like they'd rather be elsewhere. Fucking poo See the Vaccines in the john peel, was good, nothing more nothing less. If I was 16 I'd probably be obsessed with them. Eels were great just seemed too short. Probably wasn't but I was just pissed off when they were finished as they just had started to get the crowd going a little bit. Had a really rubbish turn out as well. What a band Caught the arse end of Robyn, seemed alright tbh, not really my thing but wasn't bad. then finished off the weekend with the Streets in the peel which was fucking great. Good crowd, tons of energy on stage. Really enjoyed it.
briefly met Chrissie on friday during morrrissey, fucking lost him on the way to scream then never saw him again.

nice review karl, although pretty surprised at the coldplay props. they looked dull as fuck on the coverage (which i know isn't the same etc, but still). can't wait for the streets now at wireless on saturday

it probably was shit but i'd drank a ton of vodka and was belting out the anthems like coldplays number 1 fan.

It's worth noting I bought Karl the best birthday present ever. UNBOXING VIDEO ON THE WAY. Don't ruin it mate. It's a classic vid! (I haven't actually watched it yet but still...)

Fuck I forgot to mention this, sorry bruv. Clearly the highlight of Glastonbury was my birthday present from Magneto. I'm not sure how to present this to the board yet, might take a few days but let's just say it was the best present in the history of the whole wide world. p.s, can the rest of you now refer to liams god, sam, magneto, socalledhardcunt as simply '2.0'

watching eels on the red button and theres someone in a yellow tshirt in the crowd who looks like a cross breed of superj and mahoney. That might have been Sam 1. We met him at Streets. He looked exactly like Karl but only had one leg. He was wearing an Eels tee shirt. He kept giving it the biggun then left because he was scared he was gonna faint. Weird cat. I'd given myself the monikor Sam 2.0 before we met him btw. He had nothing on me.

haha I was laughing at that this morning. 'I was the first disabled person to ever play in the football league' 'what the fucks a matter with you then you cunt?# --- shows me his false leg
also wasn't slips wearing a yellow t-shirt yesterday? was only me and him who was moshing down the front tho we were the other side of where they film.
just remembered another highlight
the 15 minute version of international playboys we performed on the top of the campsite.
weird year yet somehow so big.
