He's right, the sound was completely shit when they played in 04. All I could hear was drums and vocals

he's totally right- the pyramid sound is almost always shocking
but if BDI were asked to play,he'd say yes.

They are doing practically every other big festival going, Glasto probably didn't pay enough + also is close to their U.S dates.

i'm not sure he would. he was notably very reluctant to do it in 04 and i think that was the final nail in the coffin + they could get a lot more cash elsewhere

...and therein lies the only reason he wouldn't do it if offered- cash why does he have to play the martyr and blame the sound? as if good sound would make his shower of shit band sound any better anyway

I know you are on a windup to upset the fanboys which is fair enough (though you are failing) but Oasis in the past had moaned the sound of the pyramid stage. They even did when they originally played the festival. I was there 04, it sounded like complete shit so why can't he not want to play for that reason?

yeah, i watched them in 2004 and yeah, the sound was awful
tbf, and i'm being serious now, their half arsed performance that night didn't help matters any

..and then i was in more or less the same spot, exactly a year earlier for radiohead and the sound was amazing....and it remains my favourite gig of all time
a lot depends on the wind in the pyramid field

Fair dues.
It's not like Glastonbury has had a lot of weather issues over the years. Oasis must have just caught a bad year, that Liam's so quick and ignorant with his opinions!

Eavis probably turns the sound down for the working class bands, he sees them as a threat to his farm. Probably why he's charging 200 quid a pop now, outprice the less fortunate.
Bet it's real loud for Mumfred & sons.

Primal Scream confirmed for the Other stage on Friday.
I hope they're headlining.
U2 vs Scream.
It will sort the men from the boys.
