Shock is pretty poo. Sounds forced next to stuff like flw The thing that I've always loved about TSOTL was that the melody sounded so effortlessly brilliant, it really sounded "flowing" if that makes any sense.

Standing on the Edge of Noise is quite good, could have been an early Mando Diao b-side, and that's a lot of praising tbh

After about 8 listens
Morning Son/Wigwam/Kill For A Dream are a bit average/weak Wind Up Dream/3 Ring Circus Decent The rest I love.
top album. Much better than I'd hoped for.
I think the vocals should of been stronger on Edge Of The Noise. Not sure if it's Liams vocals or the fact they aren't high enough in the mix but I think Liam's voice should of dominated it a bit more. Massive tune.

Said I wouldn't, but I have heard nearly all of them at least once. The Beat Goes On is as good as you say, but I think it could have been bigger, it should have choirs and orchestras and solos, I can see it losing some of its charm with time. But yeah, tune.

Choirs, orchestras and solos is the last thing the song needs IMO

Choirs, orchestras and solos is the last thing the song needs IMO It wouldn't take much to make me smash up every single mellotron in the world so that I wouldn't have to ever hear one again on an Oasis/Beady Eye/Noel Gallagher record.

They are a bit gay unless deployed correctly. The BJM know what they're doing.
