I find out this has leaked while browsing the Soapbox on my phone while sat on the bus into work. Might take a half day so I can get home early to listen to it.

Yeah, great second half of the album. There isn't a bad song as such on it, but I can't see me caring much for Millionaire, Beatles and Stones, Bring the Light, The Roller and Three Ring Circus in a couple of months.

True, true. The best songs are the more ballad-y ones so it's not exactly fuelling my inner madferit. But sinking a couple of beers tomorrow evening with the stereo up loud is already making me moist.

Second half was always the strongest going by the iTunes clips, and the full record confirms this. Andy Bell's tracks shine on this record. If he's been carrying tracks like that around for 10 years then what the hell has Noel been playing at over the last 10 years? The signs were there when he put A Quick Piss and left Thank You For The Good Times off Heathen Chemistry, and the less said about The Nature Of Reality the better, especially when you hear Andy claim that he gave Noel 5 songs for DOYS of which that was the worst.
Liam: fucking hell. The guy can write verses and melodies with the best of them. But he gets stuck there. Really, really frustrating. They've tarted up his songs on this record with some nice production, but the limitations stick out. Now Noel's fucked off he's got to step up to the plate. This is an acceptable start, but he's got to develop as a songwriter pretty damn soon.
Gem: Obviously the glue that binds them together. But if the next record consisted of an Andy with 6 songs, Liam with 4 and Gem with 2 I don't think you'd hear too many complaints.

I feel a bit sorry for people listening to the album and thinking in the context of the Oasis power heirarchy and Liam's live voice.
That's not a cuss either.

For Anyone is lovely tbh. She Is Love was just lazy, acoustic wankery, but For Anyone is really nice and has an interesting melodic structure...and hand claps!!
WIN.

Really strong record. I'd rate this as the best beady eye record so far, but in conparison to oasis as better than the last 4

Just woke up and read the news that Radiohead's neew album is out in a couple of weeks and thought today couldn't possibly get any better and then this. Happy fucking days. Downloading the individual tracks version from the turtle. Going to watch an episode of The Wire and then return for some Beady Eye action.

I ordered the CD and the t-shirt. Really don't know why. If all planets are in line I guess I could get the stuff next Friday but realistically I guess it arrives to Sweden a week or two after its release....
