Cor, these are far better than I expected. I thought they'd just be minor mix differences, but there's different vocals and instrumentation all over the place. BIOD and RNRS definitely have a different lead vocal track. Sounds to me as if Slide Away is the final lead vocal, but Noel's BV are definitely different. This stuff is pure gold. Definitely different Liam vocals too. Thanks for this.

Hope someday Oasis release a massive anthology or two. Now that they're broken up, Sony will probably release some at some point. all these sessions waiting to be sold, they wont resist it.

They may not be able to without the band's authority. It depends on the ownership of the material. I dont think there's much of a commercial market for Oasis studio outtakes. Every single band out there has this sort of stuff and very few ever release any of it because theres so little interest. If anything ever appears, it will be a couple tracks here and there, but an anthology of Beatles proportion won't be happening. The Beatles have mountains of this sort of shit and most of it thats out there (aside from the cherrypicking for the Anthology series - which the majority of was available before the Anthology) was released via bootleg. If this stuff shows, its going to be through fans who pay out the nose for it or come across it.

Pulp released outtakes in 2006, Suede is gonna do it. so there's hope i'm not familiar with the contract they have with sony, but maybe anything pre big brother is still on sony's hands. Experts (monobrow) might know about this.

Bootlegs are our best bet to get this sort of thing, not the record company.

Oh, I have all of those. I don't really consider them 'outtakes'...just b-sides, remixes and other assorted bits and bobs. I thought we were talking about early versions/demos etc.
"some rare stuff surfaced this winter."
Go on....?

Yeah it's mostly demos, bsides, but there's a couple of outtakes from TIH. but the stuff on His and hers, being demos, are outtakes really, they didnt work much on the final album.
Rare stuff leaked include After You, My mistake, got to have love cuckoo song demos from WLL recording sessions. If you dont have them, i can up them.
