Had to jet off early due to other commitments. Tonight was a bonus as I didn't think I'd be able to make it. As it happened I called the shots at work, left early and had a couple of pints watching the world go by before Barny met up with me.

Barny is a nice chap, his missus seems very nice too and Baz was as charming as ever.

Just a shame Sam didn't make the effort to attend, especially as the meet was bang on his turf.

I'm considering hosting a tear up of sorts round my way at some point. Sam knows the drill. Watch this space.

Quite liked the festival thing and placing, spent too much time watching sack races and other shit though Most of the shows were quite short and clashing but it was nice as an experience. Saw the whole sets by Ariel Pink (great), Spectrals (nice but bland) and The Horrors (big but not that much), and bits of Ducktails, Cloud Control, Omar Souleyman (wtf ), Konono, The Coral and Gruff. I think I saw John Cale wandering round there and entering a toilet. Shame I didn't met Rod, it was a combination between my mobile tricking me and an excess of tiredness in the lazy hours that avoided me from calling him. Next time.

the mobile signals were all kinds of gash barny, was a fucking ballache to try and ring people. barely remember any music from field's day, and it wasn't cos i was fucked because i just wasn'tgetting fucked, but it still ended up being a great day i remember briefly bumping into you there

I must say whenever I need to remember you in the future I will unconsciously use a facial expression that's been grabbed on my mind. It was some kind of negation, if that makes any sense, probably when you were shocked after you spent the whole time swearing.

After reading about Autobahn's revelations I'd be surprised if any of you actually even went to Field day.
