Liam Gallagher has declared that Oasis will "never" reform. The frontman, now singing with his ex-Oasis bandmantes minus brother Noel in Beady Eye, said his new outfit was not a "stopgap". Responding to a question about whether there would ever be an Oasis reunion, Liam replied: “Never. This is not a stopgap until me and Noel come to our senses and start Oasis again. That is well and truly done.” Speaking to The Guardian, Liam was also critical of Noel's statement after he left the band in August 2009. In the statement Noel bemoaned "the lack of support and understanding from my management and bandmates" he had received. Liam called the statement “absolute fucking bollocks”. He added: “I just look at him [Noel] now and think, 'You're a fucking fake.' It's like, if you want to fucking leave the band, leave the band... if you wanna have five years off, have five years off. We'll sit down as a band and talk about it. But don't start going, 'I was bullied out of the band.' Fucking shite." Gallagher also confirmed that Beady Eye would not play any Oasis material on their forthcoming UK tour. www.nme.com/news/beady-eye/55043no Oasis material means what? the entire album plus sons of the stage?

I was hoping they did Thank You For The Good Times, A Bell Will Ring and Pass Me Down the Wine, think they should and they fit. The Oasis will never reform thing is bollocks though.

no Oasis material means what? the entire album plus sons of the stage? I think in another interview they said "most of the album, Sons of the Stage and a B-side"

and people would sometimes moan that Oasis were too lazy to do decent length gigs. The Beady Eye gigs are gonna be about 45 minutes long

Never ever been one for long gigs,
I''d rather a band do 10 songs and play hit after hit than anything else,
Always thought a 10 song Strokes playlist would be heaven. Sure BDI will be big whatevcer though

If the problem is playing someone else's song, as I'm pretty sure I read somewhere, they might as well plays some of theirs from Oasis albums. I wouldn't mind hearing Songbird, Better Man, Boy With The Blue, To Be Where There's Life...

To Be Where There's Life live in a small venue would probably be the peak of my life.

I'm sure in a few 'tours' time they'll start to lob one or two Oasis songs into the encore. I agree that some of the non-Noel songs would be great. Just no TMOS or AGN please.
iTunes tells me that the full album, SOTS + a bside (Two of a Kind -- no chance they'll do WOMR?) is 59 min. I still think that's a bit short. Oasis 2005 (i think) gigs were sometimes just 75 min and I thought that was a bit shit compared to other gigs I'd been to. I guess that, live, they could extend some songs like FLW and the outro of the latter ballads on the album.
If they're adamant that they won't do an Oasis song, they should almost do another cover, ie We Love You which they've allegedly rehearsed. I can't imagine every song on their album will necessarily carry over well live either, which could mean dropping further songs.

Wonder if they'll do Man of Misery. Is that just an iTunes exclusive?

oh true, yeah seems to be, although maybe that's the 'bside' they're referring to. i think it's worth including in the set.

If a shorter setlist means awesome Liam voice then, make it happen.

They probably have other songs that havent even been announced as releases yet and I believe they said in an interview that they'd be doing a couple of covers.
Its not going to be a long set though. 90 minutes tops. Thats fine considering the venues they're playing.

As said, I don't mind short gigs, be a bit shit to be paying 30 quid if they're only on for an hour though and they have Steve fucking Craddock supporting.
