Anyone who has even a vague interest in sci-fi and/or exploration needs to play No Man's Sky. Went back to this last week. First time playing it since the various updates over the years. Gotta say, I'm really enjoying it, and it helps that the kids like to play it as well. Got a bit pissed off with it today mind. Found a second spaceship that was all beaten up so spent a good amount of time repairing it. Got the point where I needed some materials I couldn't get from the planet I was on so I took off to search for what I needed, expecting the damaged ship to be easy to find with a marker or waypoint or something but no, it's not. Now I can't find the ship and my son is going crazy at me to find it again. Spent about an hour flying around, trying to see it, but it didn't go well. This is why I am hesitant in getting my son into games. LOL. BTW - I am still rocking FIFA 22 I didn't bother with FIFA 23 this year and I think this might be the first year in about 15 or so that I haven't owned FIFA. What are you playing on tucks? Is it Xbox? A few of my friends have got switches and they are enjoying them.

Are these GTA remakes of the early games as bad as people are saying? I fancied buying it (all I have is a Switch, a lockdown purchase that me and the other half never use) but I keep reading shit reviews. I mean, I'm not a DWEEB, I don't care if the polygons are off or the characters glitch out every once in a while. I just want to run over prostitutes to guns n roses.

Been hammering FIFA 23 Ultimate Team and managed to assemble a pretty impressive team.

Holy fuckballs, I found it Spent about 2 hours last night flying low and slow across the planet, no joy. Spent another hour this morning scouring what seemed like a familiar area on foot, and agian, no joy. I did find a gigantic crashed freighter and some buried technology, but no sing of the ship. Dropped the kids off at school and decided to have another 30 minutes flying around looking for it, kind of just randomly this time, zooming all over the planet and just as I was losing all hope, there it was! My son is going to be buzzing when he gets in from school. Honestly, it's the first time me and him have really bonded over gaming, so it felt like a big deal to find it. Even though the ship is damaged and will take ages to fix-up, he was super-excited when we first stumbled across it, and was getting upset when I went too far away from the ship to gather materials for the first repairs. I had to fly up into space to a space station to see if I could buy some of the rarer things needed for the repairs, thinking the ship would be findable via a marker. I assured my son it'd be easy to find again but when I got back onto the planet and discovered it wasn't marked, and that I couldn't find it, he was gutted. So, while I progress through the game, I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for the stuff I need to fix the ship back up. I've built a small base and parked it there for now, and am working on gathering the materials to build a teleporter so I can easily get back there wherever I am. I will get it flying one day and it shall be a beautiful moment indeed.
