playing Epic Mickey on Wii. It was ultra-hyped this summer but eventually everyone hated it once it came out. Definitely not bad as magazines/sites are saying, it's actually a very good adventure game based on a very strong innovative concept. For Disney fans, it's a goldmine of references and details. I've never been a fan of Mickey as I always found him arrogant and annoying (I was in love with Donald and Scrooge instead) but I'm enjoying this game a lot. Can't wait to find all the forgotten Disney characters they put in the game...
deadly premonition any good babs? sounds like twin peaks the video game to me and judging by my current twin peaks obsession i might be interested.
it's average to awful in just about every way: driving is terrible; graphics are really really terrible; combat is average; voice acting and sound are ok but very strange - for eg music suddenly getting really loud or appearing it totally inappropriate places.
but is much much more than the sum of its parts. it has a cracking atmosphere and a very decent story. there really isn't anything else like it, shenmue is probably the closest in terms of how the game feels. think shenmue crossed with resident evil 4 and a bit of GTA (but bear in mind in technical terms it's absolutely nowhere near any of those games ).
i'd strongly recommend it because it's totally unique (which is rare in gaming), incredibly compelling and can be quite scary at times. you can also pick it up pretty cheap.
i am absolutely dogshit at gaming. i think ive completed less than 5 games in my entire life. if its harder than average then theres probably no point getting it as il get stuck on the first level and never touch it again.
Been playing Resident Evil 5 co-up with him lately. Much better than i thought it'd be, judging by the general reaction when it came out, but i don't think i'd be so quick to stick with it if i was playing on my tod (on my own )
Anyone ever play the Indie games on Xbox Live, then?
Bought Bowling X. Only 80 points, and great for the price. Just what i wanted - a simple, no frills bowling game i can dip in and out of whenever it takes my fancy.
Bought a Pool and Mini Pitch N Putt one too, but not sure about them yet. Mainly cos i'm cock at 'em
Still, those Indie games are great for the money, i'm finding.
