Haven't heard of most of them though. You have to pay for cable.

A few episodes of the 60's Batman tv show. 10/10, much better than the Nolan films. There's a moment in the very first couple of episodes where Batman runs into a crime scene orchestrated by The Riddler (who is fucking great) and one of the police chiefs says "hello Batman" and as he runs past him he says "hi" in a really offhand manner that has been making me piss myself since last night

I agree with Baz. They are much more entertaining & don't take themselves too seriously.

I mean I was half joking/being dry, and to each his own and all that, but seems outlandish. Personal preferences though.

yup. i do like the films (thought not nearly as much as most people) but they are just so overwrought. it's no coincidence that the best bits of the trilogy (the joker*, anne hathaway, bale lording it up as bruce wayne) are the bits where some light and colour is allowed to shine in. the rest just feels exhausting and strained, as if it's heaving towards some sort of forced conclusion rather than having actual purpose.
the tv shows are a joy, ridiculously watchable, gloriously silly and charming and full of genuinely underrated performances.
*i know heath ledgers joker isn't a particularly jovial character but his scenes are so memorable and full of dark humour

Was hoping there'd be a youtube video putting the first 30 seconds of this as an alternate ending to TDKR, but never mind:

Just watched the pilot for 'Derek' and then watched another two times.
So great and touching. I can't find the happycry, but that.
