Isn't that funny really. There will be 50,000+ people there, it's just like playing a main stage at a Festival before somebody else. He'll probably turn alot of youngsters who don't know any better onto his music which could then lead to them having a good taste in music, rather than liking kings of leon.

Sounds to me that KOL have been overambitious by doing two hyde park gigs at 55 quid a pop & the promoters have had to pay Weller a wad of cash to step in so it's a full house both nights.

It's no big deal though, it's not like KOL have gone out and asked Weller to support and he's done it for them. KOL probably have had no say in who supports, those hype park gigs are put on by Live Nation & generate millions. He'll play to at least 70,000 over the two nights, it's just like doing a festival.
Oasis have supported U2 in the past.
