Most Americans in here probably know him already (famous father and all) but just stumbled upon his last record (Harlem River Blues) the other week and it's fantastic.
I would say he's quite similar to early Ryan Adams.
Here's Rogers Park, definitely one of the best songs of last year.

Going to see him on Friday and looking forward to it. I don't know much of his stuff but what I've heard has been ace and I have found myself living with an absolute hardcore fan so figured I'd go along and check him out.

Hes absolute class. Harlem River Blues is mint. Love the title track, and Christchurch Woman. Since- its my town.
absolutely gutted that his show here next months been cancelled because of the quake, i was really looking foward to seeing him. Love his cover of Cant Hardly Wait too.
His Dad's misunderstood here, a lot of people just know him off copperhead road. but fuck, hes made some incredible albums. I Feel Alright, what a record. and how good is he in the wire?

I am pretty confident you know exactly why I have it and I am happy that it apparently offends you.
But no, it's not for some kind of shock value that I have it as my avatar.
I have very strong feelings about the FSLN and if I can make some people who don't know about its history, be more aware of it, then I see no harm having it as my avatar. In fact it showcases a big part of my personality by having it there and it gives an insight into what kind of person I am and what kind of world and people I believe in.
I have no ties with them other than that they have always stood and fought for principles and ideas that I find inspiring.
Ever since their creation they have always tried to stand up for the people and only the people. They had the biggest opponent against them but they never gave up. I find that awe-inspiring and if I can stand by my rights with just half of the conviction they had and how they fought for theirs, then I am happy.

it doesn't offend me at all. it just shows how out of touch you are in regards to the contemporary nicaragua.
fixed elections, a leader that has increased his net-worth to 400 million while in office, constant constitution changes, and yet you have families that have to make their living picking through rubbish.
their motives may have been pure there actions are anything but.
