Ive been curious basically since 2007 on what Candie would do next after that debut LP of hers that most of us enjoyed in one way or another. Aside from a few guest tracks here and there with Howie and a couple of other artists, theres not been much word. Her Myspace is gone, and all that.
Over the weekend, I met a dude from Liverpool who's into the local scene there and he clued me in to what shes been up to. Apparently, she's started a band with Molloy, who is also a former member of The Stands. They have no recordings readily available aside from these two tracks I was linked to on Youtube. Unsigned as of now.
Standard acoustic duet fare, but her voice is still amazing and I think these are worthy of a listen. Nothing groundbreaking, but as long as she keeps making music in some fashion, I'll be giving it a listen. They seem to tour the UK quite often at the least.
