A bit confused by that last bit, but nice one I'm going to bed. Can I just say that Noel Gallagher is a scrotum for the masses, as in half arsed fans who tend to claim 'Noel is Oasis', like some cunt like Jonathan Ross. Noel clearly still thinks charts sales are important hence why he released Little By Little with its cringeworthy chorus and mindshitting deliverance. I have faith in a few brilliant tunes coming from this album but I think the overall sound will be timid, and eleven or so Noel-on-vocals tracks, nah way. Even the transition from Talk Tonight to Going Nowhere is painful when you know you've got Fade Away waiting to burst your ears, and Noel hardly dominates that compilation anyway. They're both heroes, can't deny that through my own life, but if we're talking/bickering as to who's still more valuable to real music, real people, Peggy, hungry kids and the media, it's got to be Liam. I'm going to print this post and frame it.

the sad thing about the song little by little is that they're are a lot of people out there who actually think it's great. : ( I also think everyone forgets who wrote all the great Oasis tracks. It wasn't Liam, it wasn't Weller It wasn't Bonehead. Arguably one of the greatest songwriters ofall time and a pretty great singer too imo.

To be fair, Noel's vocals used to be so one dimensional, and Sully's definitely right about the snooze inducing one-two of Talk Tonight and Going Nowhere (TT being brilliant but you really appreciate Liam after that onslaught of Noel).
But Noel has learnt to do so much more with his vocals since then. Lost much of the busker's bellow and really found a couple of styles that he pulls off well. I could definitely stand 11 Noel songs in a row these days, and can't wait to hear what he comes up with.

That bugs me too. "Real people" seem to forget that little by little is nine years old. Look at the tunes that Noel sang on the last two albums: Mucky fingers, idle, part of the queue, waiting for the rapture, falling down, and get off your high horse. All completely different, all using different vocalizations (is that a word? Do I care?) Why there's a significant part of the population that still expects 12 sunday morning calls on noel's solo album completely mystifies me. It's getting silly.
Who is more valuable to real music: Daltrey or Townshend? I know who I'd pick.
