tbh I was never into them until that album, first one sounded like Strokes without blood and the other two had some tunes but were "completely fogettable" for me back then. Although now I enjoy them all I still think they're duller than Ignore the Ignorant, which makes me want to punch walls and enjoy life. 100% this. I agree, I love plenty of tunes on the previous albums but they really don't come alive on record, do they? They don't fulfill their full potential.

Ignore the Ignorant was good but so it would've been without Marr, he added nowhere near enough to cover up the awkwardness of having a middle aged fella in his midlife-crisis among the jarmans.

oh god you guys are so indie, ignoring all the best tunes on the album and highlighting the weakest points, we get it, you're very hip! the rest of the album is "forgettable" success, U've got me mad bro. i'm more buoyed that marr is leaving than i would be if he stayed. last album had some moments but lost a lot of the cribs spikiness and energy. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D It's weird for the 4th album to be people's fave album because it doesn't sound like The Cribs. Most of it could be any old Indie band from the last 5 years.

I love their latest album, it's their best one, but it isn't rubbish, or mainstream. And I know that doesn't make me a bad fella, and neither are you. I'd gladly serve you a Smithwicks at my pub.

@ the handbag fight thats kicking off. Its just music, maaaaaann etc I thought ITI had some really good moments, namely We Were Aborted, Cheat On Me, We Share The Same Skies, Nothing, and Victim Of Mass Production. All up there with their best, i do very think. The previous album was better overall, though IMO Btw, anyone heard their last (non-album) single, Housewife? Had no idea it existed til just now. Nice cover
