Rose Elinor Dougall - Hanging Around 10 - Supposedly going to be on her next record, this is from a session performance. I think it may be her best solo song thus far. Explosions In the Sky - Lonely Train 8 - Off of Friday Night Lights. Very moody. I love them, but Im not in the mood for this now. The Corrs - Rain 7 - Simple pop. One of the best off of In Blue though. The White Stripes - Lafayette Blues 8 - Gnarly. Fucked off that they broke up. Never got to see em The Shirelles - Tonight's The Night 10 - Absolute bonafide classic.

round 2
Travis - More Than Us 9 - Always loved this song.
Arcade Fire - Crown of Love 10 - This sounded really good following More Than Us. Love the tempo change still to this day. Timeless tune.
Elliott Smith - Angel in the Snow 10 - This is a good stretch so far. Another song that I have a deep appreciation for.
Jewel - Pieces of You (Live Solo Acoustic) 5 - Not heard this in aggggges. I still like her first record before she basically went completely shit and has not done anything as affecting in any way since. This song is a bit preachy but her vocal is superb, it just doesnt hold up after 14 years. It hurts that it has a poor use of the word "faggot" in a line in an effort to gain shock. Its basically a song about discrimination and its theme is an effort to show we're all one. She also mentions jews and ugly girls and pretty girls. Weak.
Go Go Getter - Dolly Rocker Movement 7 - Nice modern take on 60s psychedelic pop. One of my faves off of this particular album, odd segue from the last song though.

Get Well Soon - If this hat is missing I've gone hunting. German guy with awesome arrangements. This one has the added advantage to rock!
Arcade Fire - We used to wait. One that grew on me. I don't even have the full album on the ol' iPod.
The Kinks - Mr. Churchill Said. Nuff said
Fanfarlo - Comets. Have had enough of this album.
The Beatles - In My Life. Beautiful.

Aye, do as many as you like. 5 was just a number loike Kings Of Leon – Wasted TimeHadn't heard this in years. Nice little rocker. How they went from the likes of this to their current bilge is beyond me Eels – Fashion AwardsLovely, but a little plodding. E really doesn't sound like E on this either. Now some sharp 'un is gonna tell me the bass-player's mum did the lyrics or summat The Crystals – Then He Kissed MeUnbeatable classic pop really, innit The Divine Comedy – Have You Ever Been In LoveFrom my favourite record of last year. Just a luvverly love song. Light and breezy, and quite moving tbh Doves – LifelinesAlreet, i guess. Wouldn't usually rush to put it on if i fancied a spot of the mighty Doves, mind I dunno why I find this thread so enjoyable, but i do Maybe cos your focus is put onto tracks you may usually never mention. Or something

Male Bonding - Year's Not LongGreat rocky number, very catchy. OFWGKTA - UpI want to sit with my back to the sun, smoking away, with this warming my face Frank Ocean - We All TryNot often a fan of stuff this smooth but decent enough in its own right Dum Dum Girls - Jail La LaYer standard plain-faced delivery of skippy pop melodies. Pretty darn good. Rick Ross feat. Styles P - B.M.F. (Blowin' Money Fast)Rick Ross is such a cock Hard to resist the temptation to jut and sneer whilst throwing $$$'s on scantily clad girls though.

On my way to work today, gotta say I've been lucky: Grinderman - Get It On -> Is there any better way to start your day? I nearly cause a riot on the tube... Beck - Summertime -> Dig it, love the sound of the guitar, kept my mood fine. The Aliens - Magic Man -> Another swagger song to step on the Monday faces. Cast - Alright -> Guess I'm doing fine, nuff' said. The Turtles - Happy Together -> One of the best love songs of the 60s tbh. Deep Purple - Hush -> Great song ;D And the next one was going to be Traveller's Tune If it had came 5 minutes before I'd probably have avoided the job and started a new passer-by life

Quite the shuffle. But I like diversity in the playlists for when I go to and from work. And preferably energetic songs.
Speed Up Your Heart - Pixie Carnation
Promising Swedish band, but half of what I've heard is the typical indie blandness, but the other half is like this tune. Full of freshness.
Memorial Day - Dropkick Murphys
Yes sure, the AC/DC of the folk punk genre. But sometimes you just need an injection and they are great for that.
Piss And Vinegar - Against Me!
Love the lyrics to it. "A little less professional, a little more upfront and confrontational."
Reason - King Django
Great modern SKA from New York.
Destroy Everything You Touch - Ladytron
One of many bands these days that shifts from fantastic songs to complete rubbish. This is of course one of their best.
