So I'm planning on buying a new vinyl player (or getting one on my birthday that's coming up ) so thought I ask the experts what you guys and girls recommend? Don't want a too expensive nor a too cheap one. I am not planning on becoming a DJ so just a good one with fantastic sound. Been looking at some Technics ones but don't really know where to start, too many of them.

Most people I've seen on other boards usually recommend picking up a good second hand one then getting a new belt for it.
I know little, my record player is cheap as chips but it does the job.

That one look rather sweet. Think I should either get one totally retro or one like that, completely modern. Yeah Pete is cool. Met him twice in Stockholm, at an Oasis gig and an Arcade Fire gig. Finnish in the best possible sense I gotta get over to TCOTU one of these days. The work meeting that I spoke about some months ago was moved and ended up in Albania instead. From Gomorroa to Shangri-La, eh. I was honestly half expecting a horse and carriage taking us from the airport.

i think cos of my player ive become the type of spaz that doesnt play the "valuable" lps cos something might happen to them. see my player and amp are quite old, they used to be fine but after increased playing its gotten weird now. so id say get one thats durable, especially if you are not bothered in the technical side of things. i hardly know anything about these things other than that on mine the needles worn off and it needs replacining. or something? and theres probably a lot of other stuff wrong. makes a lot of background on every lp. when i read about it theres always so much with these things that could have to e repaired/replaced: elements, needles, belts, cables? ive read a lot about it recently and yeah what ive gathered is the same: get a second hand player and get it fixed. its all too damn close too fixing up a scooter for 3 months and then having it break down on your first ride. its thrown me off tbh, so id say the best one is one that doesnt need looking after and does the job. the one monkeytennis posted looks great imo and it looks easy to use as well, as long as it works decently thats all that matters.
