Redknapp, cuntlord though he is, has done better, he attracted any number of great players there (are guys like Palacios and Kranjcar out of Villa's reach? even Modric was happy to come to Newcastle before Spurs came in) and Moyes, look at Everton's far superior squad for a fraction of O'Neil's net spend. There are figures in the other thread but I think O'Neil has spent £30m a season since he's been there... on what? The squads completely his fault, it's not even that thin, there are lots of once good/promising players who he just froze out
