he's back big time indeed. wonder if don king will run away with 99million though. interesting, arum think he can make the pac fight with don king happen. arum is a crook though, faking negotiations and all. The cheek. they did de la hoya-trinidad back in the day. which was a massive fight. king's smile when tito gets the decision is classic stuff tbh.

Randy Couture vs James Posey soon I dont know who the joke is supposed to be, but I dont see Toney surviving if it goes past 40 seconds. MMA > Boxing Boxing is irrelevant outside of major prize fights. That said, the atmosphere surrounding a major prize fight is amongst the greatest in all of sports and continues to be.

I really really wish UFC never got popular, it's fucking ridiculous how it's gotten to be worshipped so quickly. Ten years ago we'd be sat around calling them all a bunch of fucking idiots.

Boxing sucks in comparison really. You very rarely got the fight you wanted. Even now Floyd and Pacquiao can't fight. The sport needs a sanctioning body with legit power in the worst way. My guess is that boxing is now virtually dead.
Even when you got the fights you wanted no one cared about the undercards. In UFC people do and they are good fights.

Ten years ago I was watching UFC The first UFC I ever saw was UFC 6, when Tank Abbott got beat by Oleg Taktarov at the end of a one-night tournament.

Didn't Tank Abbott get beat quite a lot but became a cult figure because he was a fat hairy geezer who threw heymakers? I'm not at all up with UFC history.

Well the UFC I first saw him in, he was fucking dominating people as I think it was his debut. He knocked out one dude with the first punch. After that, he started to get his ass beat and then he stopped MMA and went to WCW and did pro wrasslin for a little while. Then went back to UFC and got his ass beat a bunch. Kimbo Slice kicked his ass

I have a feeling Eddie might go a bit Tank when he notices how we are dominating his thread.

the ufc will eventually breakaway and turn to shit. the money the top ufc fighters get is still small fry to the top boxers. that situation ain't gonna last. ya living on borrowed time. love to see toney go in there and tear it up. ;D then bring out a big fat cigar and blow the smoke right in the interviewers face.

This is retarded and only an MMA neophyte would think this way. The UFC continues to grow as does MMA on whole at an almost astonishing rate. The money the big fighters in UFC make are definitely not on the level of say championship boxing, but outside of those huge megafights, boxing undercards make even less. UFC guys also fight a lot more often so theres chances for more paydays. I miss when boxing was a premier sport, but they only fucked themselves over. The big purses and greed amongst promoters and fighters themselves have killed the sport. Thats also the fact there are so few great boxers nowadays.

I actually was in on UFC early when Joyce Grace was kicking ass. A lot of the early fights were held in Charlotte for some reason. Never made it, but perhaps thats why there was some appeal here. Used to have to rent the fights at Blockbuster Fighting to me isn't about who can master one skill ie boxing/wrestling.
