Do we already have a track-by-track comment from the author already? If not, here's my prediction:
50% of the songs is going to be "I wrote it in 15 minutes in the studio" 35% of the songs is going to be "It's the song I wanted to write for years" 15% of the songs is going to be "A tune I wrote when I was 22 and I've finished only now that I'm 53"
I'm looking forward to this but I keep my fingers crossed hoping that the man doesn't think, in his own head, he's some kind of 87 years old confidential songwriter and pulls out an album of 12 Sitting Here In Silence On My Own with a Flying Burrito Brothers country feel.

I have all the confidence in Noel's ability on this. I'm not as enthusiastic for the Flyin Birds record as I am for the AA stuff, but it's still tenfold anything on the Beady Eye scale. I think a better indicator of what Noel can do now is evidenced by his songs on the last two Oasis records, which were leagues ahead of anything else on those records; including the songs he wrote that Liam was singing. Yeah, he wrote She is Love and has shown capable of writing some uninspired tunes, but he's also shown he has his form back and has for two album cycles now. The boring Oasis tunes of the last few albums were almost all the fault of the Beady Eye guys (altho To Be Where Theres Life is a monster) whereas Noel's were all good.
The one thing Im not excited about are Stop the Clocks and Record Machine. I think they're very boring. I am interested to see where he went with them, but Im not expecting much out of those two. I'm still firmly on the Noel side of the fence.

The AA record will be as ambitious & out there as a Kasabian LP.

35% of the songs is going to be 'It's the song I wanted to write for years' I think it's actually 'It's the tune I've been threatening to write for years' which, much as as I like Noel has to be the cuntiest phrase in the English language. I get images of Alex Turner hanging up the phone and shaking in Alexa Chung's arms, saying 'That was Gallagher, he's just threatened to write a song with a drum loop' as a cold, dead look glazes over his eyes.
