I don't think it's a shit line. "She put an apple in my eye" "I've got a habit that a cat won't lick" "You see me, I've got my magic pie" These are shit lines. and of course: 'The bottom of a bottle - 'cos every man's a possum"... I thought it went "the bottom of a bottle is every man's apostle"

I don't really know what your point is? It's a brisk, witty and most definitely deliberate line, just like some of the best lyrics around tend to be. I feel the point you're trying to make is that because Noel hasn't got a degree and is a thick ex-builder from Manchester, he can't possibly reference something as 'intellectual' or as thoughtful as 1984. Well, fuck off. dude. awesome. i also love the line.

I would if the single really only costs 2 pound? Who pays for mp3's? more importantly what idiot would buy the mp3 album for 8.99 when the cd album is 11.99. unless you have a serious giant brain tumour thats unacceptable. I'd be surprised if the CD/7" was anything less than £1.99. You are buying two tracks, after all. Another reason why singles already released on albums tail off badly. Not only are fans unlikely to buy the same track twice, but there is no set digital release date for these late singles. For all the individual sales that say, Beat Goes On accumulated after it was released to the TV and radio, it would have reached a higher peak first week chart position if they were all brought in the space of a week. Think the common rule is singles - digital and albums - physical. I certainly wouldn't buy a digital album, but rarely hesitate on buying individual tracks for less than £1. Official store now selling CD single for £2.49 and 7" for £3.49.

Well, fuck off. nah man, I'm just saying that you're seeing what you want to see, as I thought it was a stupid line and you came out with the Orwell shit and the likes to give it some dignity, not me, you're the snobby fella who needs to give something he likes some kind of intellectual background, so shut up. go back to bed, baby xo

The songs OK, nothing more and nothing less. I'd much rather listen to SOTSOG demos though.

Liam must be out of his mind. can't wait for beady eye's second album. he doesnt have any choice than putting out a great one. and they need to get a way from that 'oh this is the who, oh this is lennon' crap.

Good song, but underwhelming really innit. I usually LOVE Noels vocals, but this time they´re just too whiney, and lack passion or fitever you wanna call it.
Good song yeah, but expected much more from him. (bring on the album though!)

Dan is it tagged wrong? Should it be Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds? or just Noel Gallagher? (as it's tagged that way now).
And thanks for the turtle!

I'm gonna go with just Noel Gallagher, i think, as he's clearly gonna drop that name after this record Hopefully Last.FM will eventually merge all names together. They usually do eh
