I'm not sure they'll go on a band. It seems as though Dave & Taylor were BROTHERS, and he might not want to go on doing it without Taylor. Who knows though.
Agreed Tucks. It's fucked because they were arguably the biggest band in the world right now - they were literally everywhere because of the movie they just put out and Dave's memoir and just putting out a new album etc. You couldn't go on a webpage without a Foo's article.
I was never a huge fan - If I went back through this thread I would have surely called them the "poo figthers' etc. In the past year I have really gotten into Everylong - I really think that is one of the greatest songs. I love how it builds up.
Everlong is great & I actually love the first half of their debut. Unfortunately Taylor played on none of those.
ANYWAY, of course they will carry on. Even if dave drums & Aziz Ibrahim goes onto guitar. Once you're that fucking big doing stadiums every night you've too big of a team that relies on you for money, probably a good squad of about 70 people that make that band run smoothly.
Sad loss though, seemed wrong that Taylor was 50 years old let alone dead. Not much of a fan but I always say this when Foo Fighters come up, I'm glad they're the biggest rock band on earth rather than something fucking useless. A good gateway band that I'm sure millions of people who are 5-10 years younger than us probably had as their first true love that hopefully provided a platform for them to go deep into the wonderful world of music

Pretty much this.
I'm not a superfan or anything but I can more than tolerate their music. I remember watching their last Glasto set (from the comfort of my couch of course) and had a tremendous time. And also, I really like Dave Grohl. Seems very humble and grounded considering he is in arguably one of the biggest rock bands in the world, and was also in Nirvana.
It just wasn't foo fighters shows they were doing - they had a pile of other projects on going as well - movies/books/other bands etc. had a lot of press to do for those things.
Could be just a clickbait article but they did put some names to the piece as well....
