So...Anyone been to Reading Festival?
I managed to bag 2 weekend + camping tickets for £175, not bad at all..
I've only ever been to 2 festivals.. Download (shithole) and V (Stafford) V Festival I really liked, stayed in the furthest campsite, which was about a 10 min walk from the arena, best thing we coulda done,,all the muppets who camp at the front have every fucker walking through and pissing around them etc.. I was on a nice clean field at the back..
Whats the Reading site like? Is security tight goin into the arena? (wouldnt of thought so).. Coz Im recording some of it..
I know its gonna be full of emo knobheads coz My Chemical Romance and 30 Seconds To Mars etc are playing.. Ill be watching the might Beady Eye when thats taking place I might add..
So gimme your thoughts on the Festival

I was tempted to get a Sunday ticket for Leeds to see Pulp headline, then I considered the whole weekend but 4 festivals is a bit mental so I resisted it Its just doing my head in not knowing if Pulp are gonna continue or if this is their final few gigs. Looks like BBC are gonna show most or all of their set on Saturday at Reading though.

Security going in are cunts, search you all over. Festival site is about the size of my back garden yet they cram 80,000 people into there & it's full of rubbish kids who have been let off their lead for the first time.
I felt old when I went and that was about six years ago.

I have noticed that 95% of mates/people I know who are 20 or younger who go to festivals go to Leeds. Got a couple of mates who go to Glastonbury, couple V, then all of the younger ones go to Leeds.

Yup and its goin to be even worse for kids seeing who are there (the friday at least)..
Fuck, you reckon ill get my recording equipment in? Its about the size of a wallet.. I usually stick it down my boxers, as long as theres no metal detectors.
Where do they search you? Goin into the actual music arena or the actual site when your in the car goin in?

I went last year and got a hip flask in hidden in my pants, only went to see the Libertines and Arcade Fire so got their mid afternoon.
It was full of absolute cunts of the highest order, I don't think i'd ever bother going again.

it's a hideous mess full of utter cunts.
But ,the back to back run of The National, The Strokes and Pulp would almost make it worth attending.
Sharpen your elbows and get tear inducingly drunk and you might survive.

I'm gan as well, Deftones, The Bronx, Odd future, Beady Eye and Fucked up I've never seen and am looking forward to seeing pulled apart by horses, Glassjaw, elbow again, and Origin of Symettry is easily my favourite Muse album so that set should be good too. also I see Pulp have started playing Joyriders and Party Hard in their sets , loved them at Hyde Park, but this could be even better

At least ppl at reading don't try to burn the campsites down like they do in leeds. I didn't mind the crowd too much at leeds 6 years ago (only got elbowed in the face once!) but sunday night was mental could hear stuff exploding all night!

It's a bit weird, thought they sorted it halfway through then went back to what it is now. Liam will be well mad when he hears about this. "The battle's on and there's no need for your lies"
