probably my fave tune off one of my top 3 hip hop albums ever. it's ridiculous. neptunes gave clipse all the best, weirdest beats back then.

Ride Around Shinin' is my fave production on the album, and one of my all time fave beats. I still don't understand how something can sound so ethereal, suspended and forceful all at the same time.
Clipse were *so* fucking good for 2 albums and a couple of mixtapes. And I strongly disagree with the otherwise mighty titchjuicy - neptunes found their most creative and leftfield home with clipse, and i'm always down for twisty turny fronting coke-rap. One of the few albums I know all the lyrics to by heart.
Oh man, I have to listen to Clipse all day now.

Anyone else come across the Manchester group, Children of Zeus? A tweet about them caught my eye yesterday and i've been listening to their 2018 album Travel Light this morning. It's great! Part sweet blissed out soul, part hip hop. They do both really well. The soul part especially. Hard to think of a better UK soul act since Soul II Soul. childrenofzeus.bandcamp.com/ |

I've just moved into a new house with loads more space, so there's room for all the CDs again. It's years since they saw the light of day and i've rediscovered the 1st Soundbombing Comp. It's an early Rawkus label showcase and features a lot of early Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Company Flow etc.
This track is up there with anything any of them have done since
