So he rates 'Go Let It Out' and nothing else? The album has a couple of stinkers on it but overall is a 4/5 in my opinion. He's only saying what he's saying to get written about anyway. Plus the tagline to that article implies he was the victim of the violence. Liam threw a fruit at a fruit, Noel smashed a guitar up. Revisionism at it's very worst.
Thank God I'm Team BDI because I'd be embarrassed to be in his corner.

So he rates 'Go Let It Out' and nothing else? is that what he meant? the way i read it, it seemed as thought he was embarrassed that people thought GLIO was actually good.

I read it as "well, this one song is good, so I guess that'll do to start working with." I've heard him say elsewhere that he still rates go let it out.
What I find difficult about SOTSOG is that the good songs (go let it out, gas panic and fucking in the bushes) are really good, but the bad songs (liar, put your money etc, sunday morning call) are REALLY bad. I love the *sound* of the album, though.

Of GLIO he always said it's the most close they've been to sounding like a modern Beatles, so I can't see him saying bad things about it. With SOTSOG on the other hand, I can understand why he has a bad opinion about it and the time it was made.

The SOTSOG era is one of my favourites and by far the most sonically interesting. Revised SOTSOG tracklisting that I made and find very enjoyable to listen to: 1. Go Let It Out 2. Carry Us All 3. Gas Panic! 4. Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is 5. (As Long As They've Got) Cigarettes In Hell 6. One Way Road 7. Where Did It All Go Wrong? 8. Let's All Make Believe 9. Full On 10. Roll It Over I encourage you all to listen to those 10 songs in a row. Very pleasant musical journey.

I never trust anybody who doesn't rate Put your money where your mouth is. The shit lyric argument doesn't cut it for me either soon as 90% of Oasis songs have throwaway lyrics. If you don't like that song you shouldn't be listening to a rock n roll band.

The problem with put your money isn't the lyrics, it's that stupid grating organ thing that starts at the beginning of the song. I hate it. Would probably have sounded great live, though. (I can't really complain about it being a straight rip-off of a song from the 60s, since I like mucky fingers).

Noel hating on SOTSOG is yet another reason for me to not bother with any of his solo stuff. Can't trust that guy.
