Bampot was responsible for some of the biggest Oasis forum windups from 2001 - 2006.
1. In early 2004 Bampot posted on Oasisinet forum stating that Alan White was sacked for leaking Heathen Chemistry. This rumour caught fire and was published in several UK tabloids and was stated as fact in a few Oasis documentaries around 2004. The rumour has been asked, and refuted by Alan, Noel and Liam in various interviews since. The Toronto Star picked up on the story as well. 2. In 2003 the entire Oasisinet community was sent into a frenzy when Bampot promised to provide a Heathen Chemistry recording sessions demo CD featuring goodies such as "Force Of Nature" and "Shout It Out Loud" with Liam on vocals. Users flocked to the forum (in record numbers) in anticipation for the leak, only to be left empty handed and furious.
3. In 2006 Bampot crafted a short "interview" with Andy Bell, stating his plans to record a solo album during Oasis' hiatus following "Don't Believe The Truth". The story was picked up by the NME and discussed at length on a RIDE fansite (www.ticket2ride.it/news.htm). In fact, the top story on that link features quotes from Dave Newton, RIDE's former manager and Andy Bell himself dispelling the solo album rumours.
4. In 2004, dozens of live4ever.us forum members were fooled into ruining their "Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants" CDs after Bampot claimed that the "flipside" of the disc contained versions of "Let's All Make Believe" and "Full On" with Liam on vocals.
