The series could never live up to the amazingness of the first episode of the first season, but it's still good tv. No need to freak out over every little thing, just sit back and enjoy it. not as cool as the comics

Actually the season 1 episode 1 was very very similar to the first issue of the comics

The first ep of season two was better than all of season one bar the pilot. Tension maintained for most of the 60 or so minutes.
I'm not really attached to any of the characters, but with a show like this, a premise like this, I think the draw is really looking at each situation and imagining what you would do if you were there.

I thought the second episode of season 2 was a lot better than the first.

There's a million movies out there if you want over the top zombie violence. This series has never been about that. I find it weird that people are getting mad that there isn't a lot of zombie violence/killing/whatever, when it was the same exact thing in the first season. It has always been a drama first, zombie flick second.

The last two episodes have been utter, utter balls and it has little to do with lack of zombies.

I gave the rest of the season a chance, watched all 6 episodes so far and they do seem to get better as they go along. The thing that still bothers me, and I hope they fix it soon, is that it seems a bit soap-opera-ish. They need to start exploring the human behaviors at the face of hopelessness and death. That's the core of the story IMO, to see how an ethical person (Rick comes to mind) becomes a lot more fucked up as it goes on. I really like Dale and Daryl, I think they have potential to become serial cunts; I hope Andrea and Shane both die horrible deaths and I hope Sofia is now a zombie hidden in the barn

it ended up a bit shit,. the fact that the fella had zombies locked in a bar was potentially very interesting but actually turned out to be a very gay thing indeed. wont be watching it again.

Hershel already said why he keeps them there, he thinks they're "sick" and that a cure will be found, so he refuses to "kill" them.
