never been a fan, goldrush is good, rest is average wailing, reminds me of a big friendly dinosaur, bit like chrissie.

that massey hall album is still my favourite neil young release. i'm not really a huge fan of live albums normally but that performance is something special.
ive pretty much decided that neil young is the greatest musician ever over the past year or so. cant wait to see him live again in august.

I think the show you are seeing is with Crazy Horse so minus maybe 3/4 songs don't expect much acoustic Neil. It'll be the full onslaught of the horse.

the crazy horse show last year was fucking superb though so you're in for a treat regardless welshy. so many people in the 02 upset at him doing 10 minute solos and jams

At some point in the past I considered including Way Down In The Rust Bucket on my 2021 list. This is a little write-up I made back then:
Joining the likes of Homegrown and Trans in the list of minor Neil Young releases that I prefer to some of the big ones, this live release also covers an era of his I hadn’t really checked before. Even then to me this sounds loosier and way less calculated than the more canonical sources (Ragged Glory / Weld).
