Nice one David, the swede did a similar thing for me a few years ago, pretty damn sweet.
What company did you use? I'm tempted to do another.

I was listening to an album last night (one of those stupid double albums where sides A and D are on the same disc), and when I went to change it, the stylus/cartridge thing just disconnected. Somehow, the tiny screw/washer that holds the stylus onto the cartridge had come off. And let me tell you something, friends...that is damn near impossible to put back together.
And it was a 70s Kinks album, too! Ruining your turntable to listen to Preservation act 2 is NOT WORTH IT.

Is that common then? The A/D thing? I've got Dylan/The Band live record that does that, I assumed it was just a mistake in printing.

From asking around a bit, apparently it had something to do with multi-disc players (or jukeboxes or something) in the 60s and 70s, and how somehow that made it easier to flip somehow. I've got 4 or 5 albums like that.

Got Let It Bleed 2nd US pressing off a guy here for $10.. can't beat that.
I also took a gamble and put 160 LP's of various stuff for another $10 off of a seller. I haven't seen what's inside yet...suppoesdly the vinyl ranges from near mint to some that are near death. I'm hoping I can pull out a few good ones of the pipe to justify the $10

Got another good deal paid $5 for The Rolling Stones - Hot Rocks double compilation album.. got all the hits on it. Seller threw in a very dirty copy of Beach Boys - Shut Down Volume 2 for free.. gave it a clean and plays pretty good for it's condition.

been properly vinyl obsessed the last 6 months or so buying shit loads but also selling loads too. realised a load of stuff i bought on the cheap years ago when you could still find stuff in charity shops was worth a fair bit so been flogging some on discogs and ebay (mostly to then buy more vinyl with the money ) i think my best profit so far was selling imperial wax solvent by the fall that i bought for £3.95 for over 100quid. was only a few weeks ago too, probably would have got loads more now mark e smith is dead. also sold a couple of smiths singles that i bought for a couple of quid each on a used record stall about ten years ago. got around 50notes each for them. obviously not flogging any of my all time favourites but im not overly arsed by having first pressings/collectors editions etc so quite happy to flog them for silly money and by newer issues.

I've got three or four 7" Smiths singles that I got on the cheap around the same time. Is there a big market for them? Could be tempted to sell if they are going for 50 sheets a pop.

i don't think as a general rule of thumb smiths singles are worth much. these were 12" with the alternative cover stars.

Good work. Been meaning to sell my Kasabian records. I've got the GLOW IN THE DARK debut & the first couple of singles on 10" that fold open into huge posters of the artwork logo. I'd imagine they are worth a good few quid.
Funny enough I've started in the past month or so to enjoy my records again, I seem to go through phases where I won't touch them for ages then become obsessed.

A while back I went and dug out some Oasis 12" singles I knew I had at my parents. I thought they would be re-issues, those RKID big Brother ones, but turns out they were never re-issued and they're all Creation first pressings, most of them go for £20-30 on Discogs. Saw a DLBIA (Which I have) in a shop the other day, probably only in G to VG condition and it was selling for £40.
My sleeves are mostly in 'Good to VG' conditions as I had them all blue-tacked to my teenage bedroom walls, ha.
I also found a first pressing of Morning Glory which I forgot I had, that's also worth a few quid now, though dropped a little since the re-issue. The pressing sounds glorious compared to the CD/Digital versions, so much better.
Also managed to pick up a copy of Frank Oceans 'Endless' which he put on sale for one day only on his website just before Christmas, he did the same thing with Blonde and those go for £250 on Discogs. Still waiting for it to arrive though.

sold my yellow vinyl copy of 1984 7" by ryan adams for 50quid the other day too. think i paid about 8quid for it new. just looked on discogs and doesnt look like your kasabian stuff is worth much mahoney average price for the glow in the dark debut was only like 22quid.
