Done this pretty quickly though wasn't alot of choices to make for this decade for me. Got alot of records I kinda like but need to spend more time on, I'm not going to include anything I'm not totally familiar with to look cooler because what's the fucking point?
001 | The Stone Roses | The Stone Roses 002 | Pixies | Doolittle 003 | Dexys Midnight Runners | Searching For The Young Soul Rebels 004 | Television Personalities | ...and don't the kids just love it 005 | Guns 'N Roses | Appetite For Destruction 006 | The Smiths | The Queen Is Dead 007 | The Vaselines | Dum Dum 008 | The Jesus & Mary Chain | Darklands 009 | The Jam | Sound Affects 010 | The Jam | The Gift
011 | Pixies | Surfer Rosa 012 | The Smiths | Strangeways, Here We Come 013 | The Smiths | Meat Is Murder 014 | Ramones | End Of A Century 015 | Bob Marley & The Wailers | Exodus 016 | Nirvana | Bleach 017 | The Wedding Present | George Best 018 | Morrissey | Viva Hate 019 | Captain Beefheart & The Magic Band | Doc At The Radar Station 020 | New Order | Brotherhood
021 | Captain Beefheart & The Magic Band | Ice Cream For Crow 022 | Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds | Tender Prey 023 | Stiff Little Fingers | Nobody's Heroes 024 | Julian Cope | Fried 025 | Bob Marley & The Wailers | Uprising 026 | R.E.M. - Green 027 | Primal Scream | Sonic Flower Groove 028 | The Jesus & Mary Chain | Psychocandy 029 | Public Enemy | It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back 030 | The Pastels | Sittin' Pretty
040 | Beastie Boys | Paul's Boutique 041 | The Fall | Bend Sinister 042 | Sonic Youth | Daydream Nation 043 | Orange Juice | You Can't Hide Your Love Forever 044 | Dexys Midnight Runners | Too-Rye-Ay 045 | Billy Bragg | Brewing Up With Billy Bragg 046 | The Creeps | Enjoy The Creeps 047 | Echo & The Bunnymen | Ocean Rain 048 | Happy Mondays | Bummed 049 | The Clash | Sandinista! 050 | N.W.A | Straight Outta Compton
Few others I could of included but after that the quality either takes a big dip or I'm not familiar enough to be putting them in a list like this. My 70's list shall be SUPERB

I did a rough list of this before when we were doing the others, I'll go through it and equate some list soon, I found the 80's had a lot of my all time favourite albums definitely, and lots of albums I love by the same artist, but not as many overal

im really looking forward to the 70s list too. up until about a year ago id say the 70s was the decade i had the least knowledge of but ive listened to tons of stuff from it lately and realised it has some amazing stuff. reckon my top 100 will be pretty amazing now.
been working on my 80s list since we were doing the 90s one on the old soapy though so ive spent a lot of time with each of the albums. i fucking love 80s indie music.

Never got into it, like bits of it but always struggled with that one. Prefer the debut by a long shot.

Atrocity Exhibition may be the greatest song of the 80's! Love Closer, prefer it to Unknown Pleasures, took some getting into though

I don't like the change of direction, the keyboard sounds seem horribly dated to me, a little out of place & almost ruin a few of the tracks. Agreed about Isolation, superb track. Hopefully one day it'll click and we can all LOL at me in this thread but every time I put it on It feels more like a chore than a good listen.

Isolation probably has the cheesiest and most dated synth sounds on the album, the first half of the album is a chugging monolith, the second half really takes some patience, but its worth it

I remember when I was on this Dutch music forum and posten something like "haha what a shit album 3/10" and a 6 months later "one of my favourite albums ever lololool 10/10" it's one of the few albums that i completely hated at first and completely loved a while later

Well they didn't because the singer was a fucking loser who sucked at life.

Its probably obvious but there are some seriously dark lyrics on that album, but yet, utterly beautiful..
