Kev, I wanted to know. Is there any connection between your love to Eels and Prince? Like one led to the other or something. Just wanted to know.

Not particularly Barny, I supposed i'm drawn to them both for the fact that thay both kind of do it all themselves and both constantly change and play with their sound, obviously E is quite a big Prince fan too and has covered a couple of his songs

I see. I have never really bothered with Prince, should I?
On an unrelated note, I thought this forum would have more love for bands like Echo & The Bunnymen and The Cure tbh, although not putting them in the same sack. And not that I care, just a thought.
70's thread starting in February?

You should definitely check Prince out, he won't be everyone's cup of tea but he has quite a broad pallet of material and delved into different area's in the 80's, sometimes takes some listening past some of the synths and stuff, especially on the really early stuff, but he was a true musical genius, in many aspects. Check out 'Sign O The Times' and 'Parade' first

My buddies record Fun and Games by the Connells is obscure, but had a ton of hits on the college radio scene. I'm tellin you it has some great songs.

Was wondering if there was ever a 'top albums of the 80s' thread on here and here it is. However, it does raise a question; what the fuck happened to Lenny? Quietly taken out for imposing one rule too many?
