He comes across as a genuinely nice bloke and played on arguably the greatest album of all time, therefore I can't fault him, whatever the tensions around the time he left. Plus his drumming was perfect for Definitely Maybe. Anyway, Tony, Guigs and Bonehead were/are as important as Liam and Noel, to me. Giants was underrated but it became a bit shit overall after the orginal lineup (and Alan) dissolved, especially live, the band became pretty much manufactured and could rarely be arsed on stage.
I watched the Right Here, Right Now documentary last week that Dan turtleed ages ago, brilliant times. Fade In-Out rehearsal in the studio is really great, the laughs they're having and such. It just makes it pretty sad that it melted so rapidly between them all afterwards, tbh. I know Tony wasn't involved at this stage, but still. Should really buy his book soon.

his book is worth a read. ;D exposes noel for the cold fish he is. guigsy is a let down as well in the finish up. liam and bonehead come across great. always felt sorry for him. although 600 grand was a nice payday.

No one would wanna read a book saying both brothers are cool. He had to choose one. One he's most unlikely to work in the future.

One he's most unlikely to work in the future. even guigs was a let down in the finish up. who was his closest mate since the beginning. i've got an interview cd from march 95 with noel & bonehead. tony gets mentioned a few times and noel is being a right cynical cunt about him. pathetic tbh.

I'm not gonna waste a tear for someone like Tony McCarroll, every single thing he had was for free, his merits are very debatable and he has obtained two shares of 15 minutes of fame and probably a very good earning out of Oasis.
I don't wanna sound like a cunt but the guy gets a thread like this one every year and Alive (8 track demo) works far better for nostalgia's shake.
