New album out soon, new single on the website. www.jackwhiteiii.com/Quite mellow but still very Jack White sounding, not bad. This time he has announced the release some months before it, instead of the usual rushy way. I'm glad he's back anyway, hope he tours. |

The truth is he does everything he wants these days. The Third Vault Records is a great (and really underrated) idea/platform and if it didn't cost a fuckin' fortune I'd subscribe to it. Heard he is doing something with Tom Jones soon, quite curious about that tbh  |

He has a point tbh, he always tries to reinvent the wheel, it's not like he just sits down watching the walls. He fails most of the time, but he has invented at least 10 different ways of enveloping and releasing those overpriced pieces of plastic. He has collaborated with a huge deal forgotten artists, formed 3 or 4 bands and driven a yellow van through the country. Yeah, most of it is just wandering around the music but the effort deserves his demands.
Well, now I think about it, there's (barely) nothing there that Karl hasn't done for free with Yellow Peril Records so...

I was just gonna slaughter you for the Tony remarks but now you are forgiven!
This song seems very forgettable though. Not bad but as the first thing we have ever heard of Jack White completely on his own it's a crushing disappointment.
Still excited to hear whatever he is involved with, one of popular musics more fascinating figures and even if this solo record ends up being dull you know it won't be long until his next project or record comes along.
